What conditions do you have to meet to be able to rent a car?

What are the necessary documents for signing the contract?

When signing the rental contract, you must present your driver's license, an identity card and a credit card if you opt for card payment.

Is there a mileage limit?

Within our company, the rental price covers an average of 200 km/day. Thus, additional kilometers will be charged with 1 ron/km (0.2 eur/km).

Do you have to return the car with a full tank?

When you rent a car, it is mandatory to return it in the conditions in which it was picked up, together with all the documents and accessories that were handed over at the time of the rental. Thus, the car must be handed over with a full tank. If the car is returned with a smaller amount of fuel than at the time of rental, a fee of 2.5 eur/liter will be charged.

Is it possible for another person to drive the rented car?

The rented car is insured only for the person who is the owner of the contract. Thus, if another person intends to drive the car, then, at the time of opening the contract, that person must be mentioned in the rental contract.

How do you proceed if you want the car to be picked up/handover at the airport?

Driving a rented car outside the country is possible under certain conditions and only in EU member states. For this, however, you will have to notify the representatives of the rent a car company when you confirm the reservation. In addition, you will be charged a fee of 100 euros/exit, which is necessary for the territorial extension of the insurance and for the issuance of driving licenses.

How do you proceed in case of an accident?

If you were involved in an accident with a rented car, the first thing you must do is to contact and inform the car rental company.

Then, it is necessary to present to the company representatives the amicable finding or the statement issued by the Traffic/Local Police attesting to the conditions of the accident and the parties involved. Otherwise, you will be required to pay an amount between 200 and 500 euros, depending on the damage to the car and its value.
